Almost half of the respondents that attended the workshop passed the information that they learned on to others.
Respondents mainly learned how to use their smartphone to solve real life challenges, to manage their business, and to learn a new language.
The treatment group said their use of technology changed more often than the control group
Almost half of the respondents say they don't have any trouble using their phone. The respondents report having a wide range of trouble using their phone, with their phone hanging, network problems and costs being the most common.
20% of the women and 28% of the men say they have something to hide on their phone for their partner
Men agree or strongly agree 12% more often with the statement "Men have more opportunities to learn about new products and services than women, especially when it comes to learning about technology"
DFS use keeps going up after each interview. For interview 5, 94.5% says they use DFS sometimes, often, or very often.
The respondents mainly save to get a loan or to increase their loan limit, and to invest in their business.
40% of the respondents discover new products and services from their friends and family
When asked to give their top three of good ways to discover new products, the respondents mention social media, tv ads and friends & family most often.
About 1/3 of the respondents say they bet, but for men this is more than half.
73% of the respondents who bet are motivated to use certain apps and websites by betting. They mention the Sportpesa app, Livescore, and apps that predict the outcome of soccer games.
Most respondents live in a non-contained house, a house from bricks/stone where the toilet and bathroom are outside. Others live in a Swahili type house or a mud house.
Almost half of the respondents say they often struggle when it comes to their living standards, and another 11% is always struggling.
73% of the respondents have learned something from using the Jisort app.
They also shared a lot of the lessons with their friends and family.
